How Reiki Found Me
My path into this work has been one of recognition as much as discovery. In 2008, in St. Louis, I met my Reiki Master, Sensei Mary Gaston. Her guidance helped me recognize a doorway already present in my life, one that I could step through willingly and continue exploring as my own. What began as curiosity deepened into practice, and over time I came to understand that this path was deeply aligned with who I am.
What to Expect
When you arrive, we begin with a brief conversation about how you are feeling and what you would like support around. From there, you will settle in fully clothed on the table in a quiet, comfortable space. Reiki is then offered through light touch or with hands just above the body, depending on your comfort and preference.
Sessions are gentle and unhurried. Some clients experience deep relaxation, some notice emotional release, and others simply leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more grounded. Each experience is unique, and there is no one right way to receive.
Breath awareness and gentle sound may also be woven into the session when supportive, always in a way that feels natural and respectful of your needs.
You do not need to prepare in any special way. You do not need prior experience with Reiki. You are welcome to come exactly as you are and allow yourself the opportunity to rest, receive, and reconnect.
